Dr. Tom McGlathery


Dr. McGlathery joined our family of doctors in 2006 and has been a wonderful addition to our practice. He was born and raised in Jackson, MS. He attended Tulane University in New Orleans and graduated with a degree in Anthropology. He attended medical school at the University of Mississippi in Jackson, MS, where he graduated with honors in 2000. He completed his residency and internships at the University of Missouri Medical Center. In June 2003, he received the Scientific Research Award from Mason Eye Institute. He was also awarded Chief Resident in 2004 for the Department of Ophthalmology at the Mason Eye Institute. He remained on staff at the University until 2006 serving as an attending physician responsible for teaching cataract surgery.

Dr. McGlathery is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist and a member of the American Ophthalmology Association, American Medical Association, a current member of Travis County Medical Society, and Austin Ophthalmology Society. He now resides in Austin with his wife, Stacia Miles M.D., and their children Alexa and Christopher. He enjoys cycling in the Hill Country and spending time with his family.
