About Us

COVID 19 Safety Protocols

We are here for our patients and the community in this time of need. Eye LASIK Austin is committed to continuing to provide the best care possible for our patients, and this includes creating a safe environment. We have implemented multiple layers of safety precautions, starting even before patients arrive at our office. Screening for symptoms and sick contacts starts with our phone team in preparation for your appointment, and is repeated with the addition of a temperature check on greeting at our office. Masks are another layer of safety and are aimed at prevention of asymptomatic spread. Every patient and staff member in our office wears a mask. The only thing we ask is if you are not feeling well or have been in contact with someone who is sick, please stay home. We will be here to care for you and your vision when you are feeling better.

Meet Our Staff

  • Brittany Skarren, Patient Coordinator

Brittany joined Eye Lasik Austin in 2015 and will likely be the first member of our team you will meet when you arrive. Whether on the phones or at the front desk, she is dedicated to taking great care of you as our patient. She loves the challenge of making sure you find the best time slot and works hard to ensure your experience is among the best you have ever had at a doctor’s office. She will be the one who will walk you through our check –in process, scheduling your appropriate appointments for surgery, testing your eyes for surgery and help with ordering your required medications.

Outside of the office, Brittany loves spending time with her dog , watching movies or spending time with family and friends.

  • Tim Alumkal, Surgical Coordinator

Tim comes to us with over 25 years of experience. Tim will be meeting with you at your consultation and walking you through your candidacy for surgery. You'll appreciate how thoughtful and knowledgable he is as he explains the procedures and answers your questions about surgery. On surgery day, Tim will be in the surgery suite running the lasers and assisting your surgeon.

In his spare time, Tim enjoys grilling in his backyard, outdoor activities and spending time with his wife, children and their rescue dog!
